Man dead, woman injured in Kings Park, East Perth crashes

A MAN (80) is dead and a woman (38) is in hospital after separate serious crashes in Kings Park and East Perth during the weekend.

A police spokesman said a Nissan Pulsar driven by the man hit four cars parked on the western side of May Drive, near Synergy Parkland, in the park about 5.15pm.

The man did not respond after the crash, where get received CPR from an off-duty nurse, but he died after being later taken to Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital by St John Ambulance.

The car’s female passenger (80) was uninjured, and there were no people in the parked cars.

In East Perth, a left-hand drive Ford Maverick coupe and a Ford Falcon colluded at the Graham Farmer Freeway overpass intersection about 8pm last Saturday.

A woman passenger in the Maverick’s rear had to be cut free by firefighters, before she, the driver (33) and second passenger were all taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance, and the Falcon’s driver (26) was also taken by ambulance as a precaution.
