A STUDENT (22) is dead and his girlfriend (22) is in a stable condition in Royal Perth Hospital after the pillar that supported their hammock collapsed at a Robinson Street, Subiaco home about 12.30am on Sunday.
Both were in the hammock, attached to brick pillars supporting a pergola in the rear of the house during a party.
The boyfriend was critically injured and died later after being taken by St John Ambulance to intensive care at the hospital.
