Councillors last month approved Cr Mark Burn’s elected member’s motion that staff prepare a report on the legal status and tenure of its management agreement with Wilson Parking.
A City spokeswoman said the now-deferred meeting was intended to be a “constructive discussion around the working relationship between the City and the company”.
“The meeting was deferred with regard to concerns from elected members that such a discussion was going to occur prior to the report to the council on September 22,” she said.
Cr Burns said the meeting would have been contrary to his motion, as it did not suggest the City “attempt to rebuild its relationship” with Wilson Parking.
