Mission Australia state director Amanda Hunt said people from all walks of life, whether they were experiencing financial difficulty or simply looking for companionship, joined to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
“It was the most beautiful day,” Ms Hunt said. “Christmas is a difficult time for some people, so it was wonderful to see such a calm, happy and harmonious event.
“We could not have days like this without the support of the very generous Perth community who volunteer time, donate gifts, food and decorations.”
On December 24, Community Services Minister Tony Simpson presented a $63,236 Lotterywest grant and a $20,000 State Government donation to support Mission Australia’s CLIP.
