Ms Lowry said she started with red as the primary colour and introduced other “bits and pieces” so it was visually strong.

“Everything in the Cozy Lounge installation has been either modified, painted, stencilled or adorned with embellishments by my hand to create the theme of Christmas joy and cozy reds,” she said.

The lounge will be open until December 23 and host free activities, including face-painting, story telling, Christmas carols and a pet photographer.

Freedom Fairies will tell fun stories and paint the children’s faces and pets can be photographed after being styled by designer dogware from ZOO Products.

Perth Harmony singers will roam the streets of Claremont singing Christmas carols, while the Salvation Army team will wrap presents for a gold-coin donation.
