Mt Claremont: Quintilian School adventure playground taken to the next level

Denise S. CahillWestern Suburbs Weekly

AN adventure playground at Quintilian School in Mt Claremont was taken to a new level this term with a new fort, racing slides, commando style netting and a firey’s pole.

The new playground that links two existing areas together was a year in the making and constructed during the school holidays, surprising students when they returned to school this term.

Principal Neil Collins said the fort created fun and adventure, stimulating new games and imaginative play.

“From pirate battles to slide racing it is a non-stop escapade,” Mr Collins said.

“While they are enjoying playing they don’t realise they are building their upper body and core strength and challenging themselves to new levels.

“If students love coming to school then learning becomes easy.”

A super turbo slide will also be fitted in the next few weeks.
