Mt Hawthorn couple arrested after police raid Wembley premises

WEMBLEY police will allege 4.5g of white powder and 1.5g of marijuana was at a Jugan Street Housing Authority house they raided about 9.45am on Wednesday.

“The raid was organised after reports from the public, and other sources, of behaviour at the house suspected to be drug-related,” Sergeant Paul Gelmi said.

Wembley officers responsible for Mt Hawthorn, Perth-based police, and a drug dog and its hander, raided the property.

“It was a very messy house,” Sgt Gelmi said.

The white powder found at the house is being tested, but it is suspected to be methamphetamine.

A Mt Hawthorn (27) woman living at the house was charged with possessing drugs with intent to sell or supply, before she was bailed to reappear at Perth Magistrates Court on April 28.

The woman’s male partner (37) was arrested for an outstanding warrant before he was bailed to reappear at Perth Magistrates Court at a later date.
