READ NOWMayor Max Hipkins said being named a Freeman of the City was the highest honour the City could give to a community member.
“The City is proud to have officially bestowed three new Freemen of the City, bringing the City’s total number of Freemen to six, the maximum number of persons that may hold the honorary title,” he said.
“The awards to Ruth, Mary and Sue as Freemen of the City is recognition by the council of their long standing service to the community. They have all played a significant role in the civic affairs of the City and the State of WA.”
Ms Reid was honoured for more than 20 years of community service as a volunteer to many not-for-profit groups and Ms McCall was named for her dedication to the State Library.
Ms Morey was named for her work as a nurse practitioner in respiratory medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
