The Presbyterian Ladies’ College additions will be on McNeil Street.
“It will mean better car parking access for our parishioners and we’ll also have access to the college’s wellness centre,” Star of the Sea priest James D’Souza said.
At last month’s meeting, Peppermint Grove Council approved an application from the Catholic Church to build a new two-storey parish centre and priest’s house on the south side of the church on Stirling Highway.
Father D’Souza said the costs were still being discussed.

In March, the council rezoned the large church site as a private club and institution, with R80 residential zoning.
A council report said the design of the new priest’s house and centre complemented the heritage-listed church, which would be four metres to the north.
