See Subiaco is the third marketing and promotions change for Subiaco in three years.
The City launched in-house team Visit Subiaco in June 2013 to fill the void when business owner-run organisation Pro Subi was wrapped up.
At the time, Subiaco Mayor Heather Henderson said disbanding Pro Subi was a mutual decision between the organisation and the City because the board was unable to deliver on some conditions in its contract and constitution.
A City spokesman said See Subiaco had now replaced Visit Subiaco.
“The new brand has been developed (by Perth advertising agency The Hub) following engagement with town centre stakeholders, including the local business community, residents and the Subiaco Town Centre Network,” he said.
“Repositioning the Subiaco town centre as a unique and exciting destination is a high priority for both the community and the City and in 2016 the City is proud to have launched See Subiaco.”
At a council meeting last month, Councillor Mark Burns said the new branding was in danger of repeating past marketing mistakes.
“Visit Subiaco was a disaster because it told people what to do,” Cr Burns said.
“‘Visit Vibrant’? We know right now that we are not vibrant. We’re getting there, but not yet.”
