“I was only going to do one, and 60 people turned up,” she said.

See Subi on Sunday walks have now taken residents and visitors around Subiaco Oval, local character homes, public art and more.

“There are lots of stories around here,” Ms Gathercole said.

“One of the comments I’ve had is ‘I drive past all the time and I’ve never noticed that’.”

Walkers are also encouraged to share their own snippets of local history during the walks.

‘A Plethora of Parks’ starts at 1.30pm at the Onslow Park Tennis Club car park on Sunday, January 14.
