AFTER the success of last year’s event, the North Cott Splash ‘n’ Dash is back.

Organised by the North Cottesloe Primary School P&C, with support from school parent Dean Humphrey from Humphrey Homes, the 2018 event is expected to attract more than 500 swimmers on Saturday, March 24.

The P&C will be donating 10 per cent of funds raised to melanomaWA.

Race organiser Jodie Manning said the main goal was to build on the goodwill generated from the inaugural event and bed it down as a major item on Cottesloe’s community calendar.

“We’re all about creating a safe environment for the whole family to have some competitive fun,” she said.

The event caters to various ages and fitness levels, with short, medium and long run and swim distances, and a new relay event.

All distances will start and finish at the North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club.

Entry is from $15 and includes registration, a swim cap, refreshments and more.
