North Cottesloe Primary School set sail for adventure in the theatre production Pirates of the Curry Bean

NORTH Cottesloe Primary School students will set sail for their annual theatre production Pirates of the Curry Bean this month.

About 50 Year 6 students will take part in the show that according to music teacher and director Linda Arnold will feature colourful characters, sparkling songs and a funny script.

“It has been a wonderful culmination of great camaraderie between the teachers, students and parents to produce such a spectacular show this year,” she said.

The play is based on a pirate adventure, with twins Jack and Liza Periwinkle discovering a real-life treasure map.

“But when the infamous Redbeard and his pungent Pirates of the Curry Bean steal the map and kidnap their mother, the race is on to rescue her, reclaim the map and find the treasure.

“With colourful characters, sparkling songs and a witty script, this show is dripping with piratical style.”
