WA GOVERNOR Kerry Sanderson has been announced as the new chair of the St John of God Health Care Board.

Ms Sanderson’s term of office as Governor ends on April 30, and she will begin her chair position on May 1.

She was previously a member of the St John of God Health Care board from 2012 until 2014 during which she served on multiple committees and chaired the Audit and Risk Committee.

Chairman of Trustees Eva Skira said Ms Sanderson was ideally suited to take up the position.

“She has an impeccable record for service to the community at the most senior levels in WA,” she said.

Ms Sanderson will replace Tony Howarth, who is stepping down after 14 years in the position.

“Kerry is a highly experienced and very capable director and I know I leave this great organisation in good hands,” Mr Howarth said.
