THE Perth Football League will take on the Victorian Amateur Football Association on July 6 at 1pm at Fremantle Oval.

Just 16 points separated the two sides when they met at Trevor Barker Oval in Victoria last July.

The Perth Football League started strong but was over-run in the second half, with the VAFA kicking five goals to one.

The Perth Football League is an open age team this season after previously being U23s only.

The 2019 team features players from 13 Perth Football League clubs.

The Perth Football League side will be led by head coach John Watters, who took on the state coaching role this season and finished with a victory over the WA Country Football League in his first game.

Fremantle CBC’s David Roche will captain the side with Ballajura’s Jack Gare as vice-captain.

The match will be broadcast live through SportsEdge Radio on the Perth Football League, SportsEdge and Community News Facebook pages.
