Perth man smashes into cops; while allegedly carrying meth

A PERTH man collided with police officers while carrying an alleged half a gram of methamphetamine.

The alleged drug user felt the full brunt of the law when he walked into police on bicycles in Wellington Square, Wellington Street, East Perth about 9.30pm on September 4.

“Two bike officers were riding down the path when a man stepped out and caused a collision with the officers,” Senior Sergeant Simon Underwood said.

The officers talked to the man, who appeared under the influence of a substance before their search found him to be carrying an alleged 0.5g of methamphetamine.

A Bedford man (36) was charged with possession of a prohibited drug and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
