Perth Royal Show rides get a workout ahead of official opening

STUDENTS flocked to Claremont Showground for the 2016 IGA Perth Royal Show ride preview today for some thrill-seeking action.

Notre Dame University students were invited to test out two new rides and four returning favourites before the official start of the show tomorrow .

19-year-old Kelsey Lang said it was great to test the adrenaline-pumping rides.

“It’s so exciting to be here and get to test the rides before everyone else,” she said

“Definitely stomach churning but really good, I can’t wait to see what else we will get to experience today”

Extreme Thriller, Luke’s Electric Speedway, Zipper, Skywalker, Speed 2 and the XXXL gave all of the riders a reason to scream, taking them higher, faster, and swinging and tumbling them into the air.

This year’s sideshow alley will offer 31 rides and 32 kid’s rides, in four precincts.

The Perth IGA Royal Show runs from September 24 to October 1.
