Perth set to swelter through hot week

PERTH is set for a sweltering week, with the temperature not expected to dip below 30 degrees for the next seven days.

After a 39-degree scorcher on Saturday, yesterday’s top of 24 offered some relief.

But that’s where the mellow conditions end, with a top of 31 today followed by 33 tomorrow and 36 on Wednesday.

The mercury will reach 34 degrees on Thursday, Friday and Saturday before 33 on Sunday.

If you’re out in the sun, it’s best to slip, slop, slap, with a UV index of 10 (very high) predicted today, followed by 11 (extreme) tomorrow and 12 on Wednesday and Thursday.
