Perth Year 11 student to represent state in All Australian Tennis team

YEAR 11 Christ Church Grammar School student Luka Brown will represent WA in the All Australian Tennis team.

The young tennis player was one of 115 secondary school students from across the nation to compete for a spot in the prestigious team.

Eight player teams competed against other state teams and final results determined selection for the All Australian competition, which is a singles event known as the Australia Cup.

“Halfway through the week I was undefeated in the team and the individual categories, so knew I had a chance of making the All Australian team due to the points I picked up,” commented Luka.

“When my name was read out I was so happy and to cap it off, my team mate Ethan Cook also made the team along with another girl Lexie Weir who I grew up training with.”
