THE annual PLC Open Garden Day will have a focus on sustainability this year, while showcasing new homes and gardens in Peppermint Grove.

On Friday October 28, seven stunning homes will be open to the public.

This year’s theme for the event is Soils, Sustenance and Serenity.

Open Garden Day co-ordinator Davina Gossage said the day was a unique opportunity to see some of Perth’s most private properties.

“With a little twist or two along the way, these homes will capture the imagination of both the young and those with more wisdom,” she said.

“Gardens encapsulate the theme of soil, sustenance and serenity – often with the old becoming new in unique ways.

“Even PLC’s own Junior School has a secret or two to be discovered.

“There are guest surprises throughout each location and entertainment in amazing environments.”

There will be a Garden Day market on View Street, a Garden Café, musical interludes from PLC’s various groups and a well-known guest star.

All gardens are within walking distance of the School and a free bus service will be available to shuttle visitors between the properties, and from the parking area at Manners Hill Park.

PLC Open Garden Day runs from 10.00am until 2.00pm.

Entry is $25 for adults, $15 for concession holders and free for children under 16.

Tickets are available online at www.trybooking.com/MQPX or on the day.
