AUSTRALIAN Foreign Minister Julie Bishop met 60 eager Presbyterian Ladies’ College students during a visit on Friday.
The Year 6 students, who had recently studied migration and government, were given a brief about the Curtin MHR’s past before being allowed to ask questions from the floor.
Students asked her what she loved about her job, how she became interested in politics and if she had always wanted to work in foreign affairs.
The biggest piece of advice Ms Bishop offered students was about building relationships with new allies.
She said the key was to research things you have in common, then build from there.
