Police hunting men over Wembley assaults, thefts

POLICE are hunting three men over two incidents in Wembley on Friday December 1 that they believe could be related.

About 6pm a 70-year-old man was woken up when two men entered his Lake Monger Drive house and began searching various rooms.

The man managed to phone police before he was confronted by the men.

They struck him to the head before running from the house.

About five minutes later, a 52-year-old man returned to his home on Lake Monger Drive and as he exited his BMW sedan he was confronted by a man.

The man punched and kicked the victim before taking his car keys and stealing his silver BMW.

The vehicle was last seen travelling at speed in an easterly direction.

About 7pm the BMW was found by police at a park on Gravity Street in Beckenham.

Detectives are investigating if these incidents are linked and if the three men were together.

One offender is described as approximately 187cms tall with a solid build and short dark cropped hair.

He was wearing dark-coloured clothing.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Lake Monger between 5pm and 6:30pm on Friday December 1 who man have seen the men or the stolen BMW.
