The former Scotch College deputy junior school principal of seven years said when the opportunity to work at St Hilda’s came up, it was too good an offer to turn down.
‘I think it was a timely opportunity in my life,’ Mrs McNally said.
‘It’s a similar demographic and it matched my personal ethics in the school, so it was very attractive when it was advertised.’
Mrs McNally said she was looking forward to overseeing the junior school, which caters for three-year-olds through to Year 6 students.
‘Ultimately, I like to get to know each child. I love being outside when the bell goes and I’ll be outside at break time,’ she said.
Mrs McNally said she would like the Chidley campus to become an environment where the students felt known and spirited.
