The self-confessed ‘winos from way back’ said they had a lot of fun coming up with a creative menu to pair with boutique wines for their cooking demonstrations next month.
‘Some of what we do might get people a bit gobsmacked, but I think once they taste it, they will absolutely love it,’ Ms James said.
‘There is offal in our menu, which might surprise people; my tagline for the show is ‘offal isn’t awful’.
‘We also have a lot of WA produce because we’re really passionate about making local food the star of any dish. We’re lucky to have so much to choose from in WA with great cheeses, beautiful lamb and cured meats.’
Despite being known as the team Australia loved to hate on the TV show, Ms James said UnWined WA would be a chance to see the ‘real Chloe and Kelly’ in their natural element.
‘Everyone saw us on the show but here they will get to know more about our relationship and personalities,’ she said. ‘We still get nervous in front of crowds but it’s more excitement than anything because we’re doing something we’re passionate about.
‘I don’t think they will be able to get rid of us even after we’ve finished presenting; we’ll be here the whole weekend.’
