Rate subsidy stems from developments

Staff ReporterWestern Suburbs Weekly

Mayor Simon Withers said developments in Perry Lakes, Ocean Mia and West Leederville gave residents a rate subsidy and this would continue with several more developments in the pipeline.

Mr Withers said his focus for any budget was to ensure the town had good facilities for its residents.

The Town’s 2014-15 budget approved last Tuesday night includes more than $50 million of projects over three years.

He said there were also plans for a restaurant and function centre at the Wembley Golf Course.
