REDFOOT Youth Theatre will bring the witty, comical and charismatic musical My Fair Lady to Hale’s John Inverarity Music and Drama centre this May.

A cast of over 80 students from Year 7 to 12 had their first read-through in December and has been rehearsing for 10 weeks so far this year.

The leading cast members are made up of students who attend school in the Western Suburbs.

Year 12 Hale student Dylan Kitney will take on the role of Henry Higgins and Year 12 Hale student Tim Del Borrello will play Col Pickering.

The boys are joined by leading lady, Year 12 Methodist Ladies College student Mia Beattie.

Hale Drama Captain Tim said students would meet three times a week and rehearse a total of 10 hours.

He said the cast did their first run through on Thursday and the stage will be bumped in this week .

“It’s great we meet new people, and it’s such a big cast – so many people you’ve never met before are coming together,” he said.

The production will run at Hale’s Music and Drama centre from May 8 to 11 at 7.00pm.
