The Shenton Park refuge will host its Home Open fundraiser on November 2 from 10.30am to 3pm with homemade cakes, stalls, raffles, hydrobaths and a mega jumble sale.

President Karen Rhodes said there would be plenty of fun activities to suit both two- and four-legged visitors.

‘Not only is there a huge amount going on for anyone who loves dogs, but people can feel good about helping us to raise much-needed funds to enable us to continue rescuing Perth’s homeless hounds,’ Ms Rhodes said.

‘We also have more than 100 dogs waiting to meet our visitors, and we’re hoping that some might even grab their new owner’s attention.’
