ROKEBY Road’s south end will come alive on October 13 to celebrate the bustling laneway in the precinct.

“It’s a celebration of our local precinct affectionately known as So-Ro or ‘Little Paris’ at the south end of Rokeby Road,” Juanita’s Bar part-owner Anthony Princi said.

Mr Princi said the South Subi Block Party in the laneway and carpark at the rear end of 341 Rokeby Road would offer the community a free event with a come one, come all vibe.

“There will be music, DJs, marching bands, dancing, live spraypainting as well as classes for the kids, face painting and other activities.

The winner of a poll for a name for the laneway will also be announced.

The poll is open until October 11 at http://bit.ly/NameTheLane

The winning name will be spraypainted on the wall of the laneway.
