Rosalie Primary School cake stall offers chance to grab a sweet treat after voting on Saturday

More than 400 types of sweets will be available for voters at the Shenton Park Community Centre from 8am, which is when the polling booths will open.

Stall co-ordinator Karen Lamb said a few Masterchef wannabe mums and dads would contribute to stall goods this year.

“Gluten-free options will be available and chocoholics should definitely vote early, with notoriously delicious boxes featuring Abby Kenward’s chocolate cake and Amy Mcdonald’s rocky road,” she said.

“There will be varying price tags from around $10 for smaller goods to $25 to $30 for the more impressive delights.”

She said those watching their waistline could still support the school by purchasing a Rosalie cookbook, umbrella or shopping bag.

“The Rosalie P & C are raising funds to rejuvenate some of the tired playgrounds on the school site, with a focus on nature play and a second school bell to rally the kids back to class post-play,” she said.

Ms Lamb said the stall was expected to wrap up about 1pm.
