CRAWLEY’S Rotary Club of Matilda Bay will have parking near Kings Park for the Australia Day fireworks next Friday.

“Book a reserved parking bay this weekend for the annual event knowing that a parking bay will be waiting for you in time to view this spectacular event,” club parking co-ordinator Christine Stewart said.

Ms Stewart said Kings Park will be closed to traffic that day, but it did provide have good views of the fireworks, so the club had obtained reserved parking for $20 outside its main entrance.

“The parking is easy to find, just exit the Kwinana Freeway at the Hay Street exit, turn left into Havelock Street and the reserved parking is less than 600 metres ahead,” she said.

The money raised by the car parking will go to the club’s community projects including Australian Rotary Health mental health workshops, laundry and showers for the homeless operated by Orange Sky and the King Edward Memorial Hospital.

A voucher linked to each car’s registration number must be presented to a parking attendant at the site, which will be open 2pm to 7pm, and to reserve a parking bay go to www.rotaryreservedparking.com.au.
