The hire place won a gold medal in the Specialised Tourism Services category.
‘We’ve made the bike hire more self-serve and it’s much easier,’ Ms McDonald said.
‘We’ve also increased our recreational offering with scooters, skateboards and fishing rods and lines.
‘We’ve really just expanded what we do.’
There will be a delivery of 200 extra bikes customised for the island to satisfy demand during the peak season and there are plans to introduce electric bikes next month.
‘The electric bikes will be great for the people who would not normally hire bikes and it will allow them to discover the island on their own,’ Ms McDonald said.
