THE PERRY Lakes Hawks are through to the men’s SBL grand final for the first time in seven years.
The team travelled to Rockingham on Friday night for a must-win game against the Flames in front of a record 1500-strong crowd.
They took out the match 96-92, pushing the teams to a decider at Bendat Basketball Centre on Saturday night.

READ NOWThe score changed several times in the final minutes of the heated battle, with the Hawks prevailing 102-96 and landing a berth in the grand final.
Coach Matt Parsons said it was a great result for the club and community.
“To come back from 0-1 down after losing one of our most important leaders and players at the club (Jacob Holmen to a knee injury during the opening game of the series) is a true indication of the never-say-die attitude of a driven group of players and coaches,” he said.
“We are ready for the opportunity to create another piece of history for our proud club.”
The Perry Lakes Hawks will take on the Joondalup Wolves on Saturday at Bendat Basketball Centre.
