Scarborough holiday rental needs approval after 12 years

Staff writerWestern Suburbs Weekly

A SCARBOROUGH unit has been operating as a holiday home without approval for more than 10 years.

The property owner is now seeking approval from the City of Stirling to change the use from residential to short stay accommodation.

In support of the application, they said they had been leasing the one-bedroom Stanley Street unit since 2007 without issue and it was “professionally managed” by a Scarborough agency.
