Students spoke with scientists from different fields to learn about their area of research and the best ways to pursue a science career over three networking sessions at the University of WA’s Winthrop Hall.

Iona Presentation College Year 11 student Peppa Daveison (16) said her session with an astrophysicist was enlightening.

‘I only really know about human biology, but this is a good event because I don’t know anything about space but I want to learn about it,’ Peppa said.

Shenton College Year 10 student Radu Alecsa (15) said talking to a water consultant and medical researcher made him realise the vast opportunities within a science career.

‘I am really leaning towards science, but I don’t where I want to head in life,’ Radu said.
