A sailing day, hosted by the Year 11 and 12 students and accredited sailing coaches, will run over four days from Tuesday, September 30 at the Perth Flying Squadron Yacht Club.

All proceeds will go towards the charity.

CCGS Service Learning and Leadership director Richard Pengelley said it would be a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for the children of Cambodia.

The Year 11 and 12 students will travel to Cambodia for the second time in December to volunteer with the charity.

Mr Pengelley who is co-ordinating the trip along with his wife Jo, said the students would be involved in various educational, food and dance programs.

‘It’s a great educational experience for the kids,’ he said.

Karli Jeffry (17), who travelled with the group on their first trip late last year, she said the work they did and learning about their culture was inspiring.

‘I will never forget seeing the kids faces as they all run up to you,’ Karli said.
