ST JOHN of God Subiaco Hospital Bendat Family Comprehensive Cancer Centre staff donned their pyjamas on Monday to raise funds for pancreatic cancer.

The funds will be donated to PanCare Foundation to support a clinical trial led by St John of God Subiaco Hospital Oncologist Dr Andrew Dean.

“We are very grateful for this assistance – increased funding in research will allow us to further enhance our understanding of pancreatic cancer and how we can improve treatments for patients,” Dr Dean said.

The money raised will help PanCare Foundation create the first pancreatic cancer nurse position in WA.

This will provide patients with one-on-one support to help improve their quality of life in their fight against pancreatic cancer.
