The duo agreed that soup was an easy and healthy meal that could be stored easily, but said their recipes had separate influences.

Mr Hancey used his own Ras El Hanout spice mix, while Dr Kosterich’s soup had a Thai influence.

The food ambassador said the secret was to keep it simple.

‘What I love putting in my pumpkin soup is ginger and garlic and some Moroccan spices’
