THE AFL will host a representative match between Victoria and an All-Stars lineup to raise money for bushfire relief at Marvel Stadium on February 28.

In 2009, the AFL played a fundraising match between Essendon and the Western Bulldogs to support victims of the Black Saturday bushfires, raising $1.2 million.

The last Origin-style fixture was in 2008, when Victoria beat the Dream Team by 17 points in the AFL Hall of Fame tribute match at the MCG.

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick will coach the Victorian side, while Sydney’s John Longmire will lead the All-Stars.

The AFL, along with the 18 clubs and AFL Players Association have also announced a $2.5 million donation for bushfire relief.
