“Tides will be higher than expected,” BoM said in the weather warning.

“The worst conditions are likely in coastal parts of the warning area. Winds across the warning area will begin to ease later in the afternoon.

This weather is unusual for this time of the year; this low is likely to be windier than a typical winter system and may cause damage to property and make road conditions hazardous.”

There is also a chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon with the damaging winds possibly continuing until early evening.

There is a possible morning shower on Saturday with a top of 21 degrees and only partly cloudy on Sunday with a maximum 22 degrees.

Monday’s forecast top is 27 degrees, followed by 30 on Tuesday and 26 on Wednesday.
