SUBIACO artist Cy Rocchi has raised $9500 for Ronald McDonald House by holding a solo art exhibition.

The exhibition called Drift, which was opened by Adam Gilchrist, highlighted a collection of riverscapes and seascapes from the Swan River, Rottnest Island and the South-West.

Rocchi displayed 23 paintings during the exhibition, which illustrated her connection to the water.

She said it was a great evening for a good cause and was glad to donate the funds to an important charity.

“It was a wonderful evening allowing people to support the arts and help raise funds for an incredibly important local charity,” she said.

“While seeking a gallery to represent me, I was keen to showcase my recent work and raise money for a charity. Ronald McDonald House was an obvious choice, and charity I have come to appreciate over the years since knowing Adam and Mel Gilchrist.”
