Subiaco: handgun used in Hay St betting shop robbery

A HANDGUN was used in a robbery at a betting shop in Hay Street, Subiaco about 9.30am yesterday.

“A man threatened a staff member with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money,” a WA Police spokeswoman said.

The man had his face covered when he entered the shop, and ran off after being handed some cash.

The spokeswoman said the man was last seen heading west on Hay Street.

He was described as 30-40, fair skinned, about 183cm tall, and medium to solid build, wearing a dark blue long-sleeved jumper, beige pants and white sneakers.
