SUBIACO Library will display work from photographers around WA in the 2016 Photographic Awards finalist exhibition this month.

More than 72 photographs were chosen from 260 entries in this year’s competition, with age proving no barrier for 15-year-old Murdoch resident Fioline Oetomo, who took out the overall prize with her image Vigilant.

Shenton College student Abby Tomijos won the Subiaco category with her entry The Lens and Shenton Park local Sarah-Lee Sweeney took home the top prize for her beautiful narrative image Red Dog, featuring a battered old ute and Red patiently waiting for his master.

City of Subiaco Mayor Heather Henderson presented the prizes and said the awards continued to attract high quality entries from professional and aspiring photographers.
