Subiaco Primary School students shoot for new heights thanks to Junior Sports Grant

Rosanna CandlerWestern Suburbs Weekly

ALL students, no matter their age or height, can now play basketball and netball at Subiaco Primary School.

The school was awarded a $25000 Junior Sports Grant to install new junior height multipurpose hoops that will replace its current “very outdated and worn” fixed full-height rings.

Parent Tess Korten said she applied for the grant to help develop the future of netball and basketball at the school.

“Having access to these facilities will mean hoops can be lowered to accommodate younger children or those who haven’t quite developed their throwing skills yet,” Ms Korten said.
