READ NOWCouncillor Murray Rowe moved the officer recommendation at Tuesday morning’s meetingfor approval with conditions.
“This is something we want to see in this area and a sensible height,” he said.
“I’ve had a few people complain already about structures going up on this side of the street, but that’s what’s going to happen, that’s the zoning.”
Cr Rowe said he would like to see extra vegetation on the building to green the city.
Cr Derek Nash said a lot of thought had gone into how the building interrelated with the area.
The application was approved unanimously by the four JDAP members.
