Grants will target businesses including retail, hospitality, health and beauty, knowledge industry and creative industry.

Mayor Penny Taylor said local businesses in Subiaco would make the city a vibrant place to live, work and visit.

“We want to attract businesses to Subiaco that will add value to our city, and have something new, different and exciting to offer,” she said.

“It’s the incentive behind the criteria in the business grants; supporting local business is something everyone in the community wants.”

A local small business can apply for a grant between $2000 to a maximum of $5000.

Two rounds of grants will be awarded each year, with the first round to begin in November.

Applications for the first round of small business grants will be available next week from https://www.subiaco.wa.gov.au/.
