CITY of Subiaco is giving residents and visitors a chance to have their say about Subiaco.
The City is inviting the public to provide feedback on the its progress and vision as part of the Think2030 strategic community plan review.
The review was first launched in 2011, with 4000 people participating in the survey and providing 29,000 ideas, which led to the creation of the City’s strategic community plan.
Mayor Heather Henderson said the City was looking for as many people to engage with Think2030 in 2016, so the revised plan remains relevant to the community’s values and priorities.
“The City has evolved over the last five years and we want to make sure we are still on track to deliver programs and projects that reflect the current thoughts and needs of the Subiaco community,” she said.
“This could be anyone who works, lives, socialises, studies, shops or travels through the area.”
City staff will be attending community events over the consultation period, with postcard surveys to collect data.
Cr Henderson said it was a chance for people to show how passionate they were about the progress of Subiaco.
“Through my day-to-day interactions I hear what people in Subiaco are passionate about, what the City means to them and how they would like to see the City in the future,” she said.
“This consultation process will help us refocus on what is important to the community and how we’re tracking as a local government.”
All comments collected during the period of consultation will be analysed and considered to develop the reviewed strategic community plan, which will be made available for public comment in April 2017.
Community consultation is open until Friday December 9. To complete the survey visit www.think2030.com.au.
