CITY of Subiaco will decide whether it will send out its first Draft Heritage Strategy for public comment on Tuesday.
Councillors will consider an officer recommendation to endorse the draft strategy for community consultation for four weeks and receive a report on the comment period.
The strategy will group together heritage objectives the City would abide by, including conservation.

Cr Stephanie Stroud questioned why the strategy did not address substantial progress with character preservation.
“Why does the strategy not canvas the issue of character – we can only suppose heritage can remain a relatively high bar,” she said.
“The City sees itself as an enclave of character and we would like planners to take it on fully.”
The City’s Planning Services manager Alexander Petrovski said the strategy still had to go out for public consultation and a workshop will follow afterwards with elected members for further consideration.
The draft heritage strategy was endorsed by councillors in April 2016.
