Swanbourne puppy thief pleads guilty

THE man who stole a puppy from a Mosman Park home will be sentenced next month.

Mark James Dunks (39) pleaded guilty in Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday to stealing the Murray family’s poodle-cocker spaniel Teddy in March, which police recovered a week later at his Armadale home.

Glenn Murray put up a $20,000 reward and posted home security vision of a hooded-Dunks walking off with the dog.

Dunks also pleaded guilty to trespassing and driving with a cancelled licence with a blood alcohol level exceeding 0.05g.

He was remanded on bail to be sentenced on May 24.
