Taste test to judge top drops

Staff ReporterWestern Suburbs Weekly

Hyatt Regency Perth general manager Adam Myott and Western Suburbs Weekly editor Denise S. Cahill will be tasting the line-up of wines at the Hyatt on October 29 ahead of the awards dinner on October 31.

Mr Myott said the Hyatt and the show committee established the consumer category five years ago to complement the professional judging that took place in Mt Barker.

‘We decided it would be a good idea to get the consumers’ opinion on the wines that have been selected by the professionals,’ he said.

Qantas Wine Show chairwoman Joanne Bradbury said it was interesting to compare the consumer choices with the professionals’ picks and the winners had never been the same.
