TEDDY, the poodle cocker spaniel-cross puppy from Swanbourne allegedly stolen last month, was found alive by police last night.

“Wembley Police attended a property in Armadale last night and recovered Teddy, who was safe and well,” a police spokesman said.

It is alleged Teddy was enticed to the pet flap of the home, before being taken during the night last Friday.

The spokesman said Teddy had been returned to his happy owners, and was checked by a vet last night.

The owners’ desperate bid to find their pet involved hiring a pet detective and the offering of a $20,000 reward this week.

A 39-year-old Armadale man has been charged with stealing over Teddy’s alleged theft.

He will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on April 30.
